"Will it always have to be this way? I don't know how much more I can take." This is a statement I hear often from clients when they first come to me. Holding hope for clients until they are able to hold it for themselves is a calling I feel honored to provide. My ideal client is one that has experienced trauma or crisis in their life, usually with their family of origin, struggles in relationships, has experienced anxiety, abandonment, or emotional, verbal, or spiritual abuse. Many times clients say to me they feel like they were not made to fit in this world or no one understands them. It's important that I am able to connect with clients so they feel trust and safety while working together. I have a very flexible schedule and offer daytime, afternoon, evening, and weekend appointments. I have been a patient of therapy for many years myself, being a complex trauma and cancer survivor.
